Predstavlja 1,5 do 2% ukupne te\u017eine. 99% ga je vezano u kostima, a samo 1% je u slobodnom obliku. To je izuzetno va\u017eno jer osigurava nesmetan prijenos impulsa kroz \u017eiv\u010dani sustav, esencijalni je mineral u radu srca, kontrakciji mi\u0161i\u0107a, zgru\u0161avanju krvi i osigurava op\u0107u ravnote\u017eu. Me\u0111utim, mo\u017ee imati i negativnu stranu, jer se po\u010dinje talo\u017eiti u raznim tkivima, poput mi\u0161i\u0107a, mi\u0161i\u0107nih izraslina i zglobova. Kalcifikacije, osifikacije javljaju se na raznim mjestima, posebno nakon ozljeda, udaraca, upala&#8230; Drugi uzroci kalcifikacija uglavnom su neobja\u0161njivi.  <\/p>\n<p>Me\u0111utim, postoje rizi\u010dne skupine kod kojih je rizik od kalcifikacija ve\u0107i. Ka\u017ee se da se oksalati ve\u017eu s kalcijem i tako stvaraju kalcifikacije. Postoje i tihe kalcifikacije, za koje uglavnom ne znamo, jer ne uzrokuju bol i otkrivaju se tijekom raznih pregleda.    <\/p>\n<p>Lije\u010denje; da bi bol prestala, mora se ukloniti cijela kalcifikacija. Ako ostane malo, mo\u017ee uzrokovati novu upalu i time ponovljenu bol. Koje se terapije ili postupci koriste ovisi o veli\u010dini i debljini kalcifikacije. Naj\u010de\u0161\u0107e se u medicini koriste razne tehnike, od klasi\u010dnog ultrazvuka i tehnika fizioterapije, do agresivnijih metoda poput udarnih valova (ESWT) i kalcinacijskih punkcija.   <\/p>\n<p>\u0160to je s ku\u0107nom medicinom?
